Domestic & Family Violence
Where to get support

  • In an EMERGENCY call Police and/or Ambulance - 000

Go to 'Domestic and Family Violence Services' as well as 'Police Attendance' to find out where you can find other EMERGENCY and NON-EMERGENCY help, in each State and Territory, if you are experiencing Family Violence.

Also remember that each State and Territory has Women's Services that have experience in helping women who are experiencing or have experienced family violence.

There is also a 'Men's Domestic Violence Helpline', click here to find the number.

It is well-known that it can be extremely hard to get out of a family violence situation. However, it is of real importance that you seek support in leaving a family violence situation to protect your safety as well as your children's safety.
